AnneSHIELDSSadly, Anne Elizabeth Shields passed away on the 15th of November 2024.
Anne was born in Norfolk and held fond memories of Woburn Abbey where she worked as a teenager.
Anne married John Shields in 1970 and they raised a family of three boys in Hoddesdon.
For many years Anne worked as a lollipop lady at the top of Essex Road. She was very proud of escorting the children safely and seeing them grow older throughout their school years. Anne was also a keen visiting volunteer for Age UK.
Anne enjoyed nature and loved walking. She had many pets over the years and was particularly fond of cats. Baking, letter writing, crafts and gardening were among her many pleasures in life.
John and Anne retired to Swaffham, Norfolk in 2015. Anne continued her volunteer work whilst still enjoying her various hobbies and adored the Muntjacs that would often visit the garden.
We have happy memories and you will be in our hearts forever.
